APGF Statement on COVID-19

As COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the world, our choices as people, communities, and countries will shape both how we come through this crisis and what future we will create. The Asia Pacific Greens Federation, like its member parties, encourages everyone to make choices that keep themselves and others safe. This is particularly true for those whose decisions can significantly affect the lives of others, whether in business, support services, and government. Humanity will emerge from this crisis in time.


APGF supports Climate Strike

The Global Climate Strike  continues today in Aotearoa New Zealand.  Over 150 countries have participated including our own Federation members.  In Australia young people

If we truly want to see the people of Vanuatu, the Philippines, and the rest of the Pacific live their lives without the constant fear and threat of climate change-related disasters, then we need to act.

Green Parties call for a nuclear free region on anniversary of Fukushima

March 11, 2015 marks the 4th year anniversary of the Fukushima earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. The Asia Pacific Greens are calling for governments to commit to a nuclear free world and to move to clean equitable renewable energy solutions.

APGF calls for real peace and reconciliation in Gaza

The Asia-Pacific Greens Federation (APGF) wholly condemns the violence between Israel and Gaza and appeals to both the local and international communities to do whatever it takes to achieve sustainable peace and reconciliation.


The Asia-Pacific Greens Federation calls upon the Japanese Government to uphold Article 9

On July 1, 2014, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's cabinet reinterpreted the constitution's Article 9 "peace clause" contrary to it's original intent and empowered Japan's military to take belligerent action against other countries, increasing Japan’s risk of bloody conflict in the future.


Gaza conflict: Green Party Korea statement

Israel deployed ground troops in Gaza on July 17. On this day,  the Israeli armed forces are employing military air jets and vessels to heavily bombard the Gaza Strip. Israel, equipped with immense military power, started its attack on July 8 and caused massive casualties in Palestine. As of July 17, at least 235 people were killed and nearly 2,000 residents were injured, with children suffering similarly devastating damage. Despite the international community’s criticism, Israel turned even more hard-line and stepped up its assault against Gaza.
