EXCITING UPDATE!!

COPENHAGEN CLIMATE HERO TO SPEAK AT APGN CLIMATE FORUM!

Apisai Ielemia is travelling to Taiwan to speak at the Asia Pacific Greens Network climate forum. Mr Ielemia is the Prime Minister of the Pacific island nation of Tuvalu. The Prime Minister and his climate negotiators were the moral voice at the Copenhagen climate talks in December 2009. They spoke up against all of the big nations working against the Kyoto Protocol and the continuation of strong legally binding targets.

The Tuvaluan’s brave stance in Copenhagen inspired many of the NGOs and observers to rally in support of them at the climate talks – see some of the videos of those protests at the doors to the entrance of the climate talks.

People from around the world call for diplomats to “listen to the islands” and chant “Tuvalu, survivor” in support of this tiny island who speaks for the future of the people from the small island nations of the world….see….
