The Organisation

Asia Pacific Greens Federation (APGF) is recruiting a Strategic Fundraising Consultant. Currently APGF relies on a very limited number of funding sources. In order to develop its fundraising potential and realize its Operational Goals 2017-2022 the APGF is seeking a consultant to support our work for up to 20 hours per week for initial 3 month period with possible extension subject to funding and deliverables. Reporting to the APGF convenor and deputy convenor and supported by a diverse team of volunteers, you will develop and deliver a diversified and growing income base for the APGF to realise it goals.

The Role

This role will suit a driven fundraising professional with a track record of establishing and strengthening donor relationships to deliver program funding.  An understanding of current fundraising trends, techniques and challenges, in addition to highly developed communication and influencing skills will be essential.

Reporting to the APGF Convenor you will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic fundraising plan of APGF which will identify all possible revenue streams, professionalise the APGF fundraising brand and develop relationships to maximise our fundraising potential so that we can continue our  work throughout the region.

Consultant Profile

You are a proven fundraising professional with success in achieving performance outcomes from a similar role in either a NFP/NGO, political or environmental or rights based sectors. You are a creative and analytical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication and strong influencing skills.  

You have meticulous attention to detail in addition to significant experience in and a deep understanding of:

  1. Donor acquisition, mobilisation and retention; Developing strategies to grow income from foundations, major donors, regular giving, direct marketing, promotional campaigns and events, peer to peer fundraising. 
  2. Proven experience identifying, nurturing and growing fundraising partnerships;
  3. Effective collaboration with others and ability to coach and develop others

Desirable:

  1. Experience working with NGOs - environemental, political, and/or social justice
  2. Awareness of Green Party values
